In a Mixed-Age class, children from infancy to age 5 gather together with their parents and caregivers to enjoy the musical fun and movement. Mixed-age classes create a family-like setting, where children can learn from each other as well as from adults. Children to progress at their own rate, and make it possible for siblings to share the same class.

This Mixed-Age class uses Spanish/English editions of our song collections, and no bilingual skills are necessary. Providing bilingual recordings as well as written translations makes the experience more accessible to Spanish-speakers, and introduces your child to a second language within the rich environment of a Music Together class.

Kids know what they like. For four- through eight-year-olds, it's telling silly stories, playing games (with rules, of course!), and sharing new things. Our Rhythm Kids^® camp taps into how big kids are wired to learn. Music games, rhythm pattern play, drumming, and more engage their creativity—and inspire them to explore their musicality in new ways, both during and outside class. 

During each day of this summer camp, kids have a blast singing, dancing, and jamming to rhythms and tunes inspired by musical traditions around the world. Their specially trained teacher leads group and individual activities that get students up and moving as they learn to compose, choreograph, and conduct. Bonus: The music and movement activities naturally support several key developmental areas, including executive function, emerging math skills, and leadership.

Designed specifically for pre-K and early elementary students, our active Rhythm Kids^® classes tap into how children this age are wired to learn, with music games, animal rhythm stories, and lots of stomping-flying-climbing fun. In class, kids drum, sing, move, and play to rhythms inspired by musical traditions around the world.

There's no fee or obligation; we do ask that you sign up in advance to help us manage class sizes. You're invited to join in all the activities and participate at a level that's comfortable for you. Don't worry about knowing the music - we'll include some songs you're likely to know, as well as songs that are easy to sing and play with. We do ask you to minimize adult conversation during the class, to help the children stay focused on the music and movement.
