How to contact us
Miriam Klein – My office number is (502) 491-3131. Because I have a home office, feel free to reach me in the evenings at this number. I’m comfortable with calls up till 10:00 pm - sometimes it’s easier to make a call after children are asleep. You can also reach me on my cell phone: (502) 558-0345. Before class, my cell phone is the best number to use, and you can call as early as 7:30 am. Send me an email.
Karen Hild – Karen’s home number is (502) 317-1362. You can call her any time. Karen prefers not to publish her cell phone number, so if you need to reach her just before class, contact me and I’ll relay the message. Send Karen an email by clicking here.
Lorna Dries – Lorna’s home number is 452-1765, and her cell phone is (502) 296-4345. Send Lorna an email by clicking here.
Krystle Middlemiss – Our beloved Miss Krystle won’t be teaching this summer, but we’re looking forward to having her back in the fall. If you need to reach her, she can be reached by cell phone at (970) 217-2704. Click to send Krystle an email. If you’re in our Wednesday morning classes you might get to see her visiting our class.
Who to contact about…
· Scheduling a makeup – I’ll have the master calendar for make-ups, so please contact me instead of your class teacher to schedule a makeup.
· Class dynamics or questions about what we’re doing in class – talk to your teacher first, but feel free to contact me any time.
· Payment or registration questions – contact me
· Dates and schedule questions – ask any of us, or check on the website.
Feel free to contact me at any time with any questions, concerns, feedback, etc.
Dates
Classes will start the week of June 28. Classes will run through the week of August 1-August 7, unless interrupted by weather or unexpected events. During the week of August 9-14, we’ll offer optional makeup classes, and we’ll also add classes if necessary to compensate for weather closings during the semester.
Our fall session will begin the week of September 13, and will run through the end of November.
Missed classes
If you need to miss a class for any reason, you’re welcome to make it up by visiting one that meets at a different day, and/or by coming to an end-of-semester make-up class day. However, I do ask that you schedule your makeup in advance rather than just dropping in to class.
Community Directories – New online format!
Every few semesters we like issue a Heartland Music Together community directory, to help families contact each other for play dates and fun outside of class. This semester, in the interest of efficiency and saving resource, we’re initiating an online version of our of our community directory.
Participation in this directory is entirely optional, and you can choose how much information you want to share. In the first couple of weeks of class, we’ll hand out paper directory invitations, and send out an email directory invitation. To participate in the directory, simply fill out the directory form in class, or reply to the email. We’ll assemble the information and post it online on a secure web page of our website. You can change your online listing at any time.
To access our community directory online, you will need to create an account on our website. This is very simple – just input your name and password to create an account. We’ll have to approve your new account (this prevents non-community members from accessing the information), and this will take about a day. Once your account is created, you’ll be able to access our community directory and any additional parent resources at any time, as long as you’re a part of our Heartland community.
If you prefer a paper format for you directory, just let me know and we’ll print one out for you. To conserve resources, we’ll only print the directories on request.
If you’ve participated in our directory in the past, I ask that you fill out a directory form again so we can create this new format. Once our online format is established, you shouldn’t have to fill out the form again in future semesters, unless you want to change your listing.
Thanks for participating in our community directory, and helping all of us make friends inside and out of class!

For the most up-to-date class schedules, visit the Calendar link on the website. Please call in advance to schedule a make-up – don’t just drop in to a class!
POLICY Reminders
Visitors in class
You’re welcome to invite your friends to join us in class at any time. We love sharing Music Together® with friends – that’s been one of our biggest factors in growing over the years. We ask only that you schedule their visit with us in advance, so we won’t have too many new faces in class at one time.
There’s no charge for local visitors – we love to have them! If you’re bringing non-local friends or relatives, we’d appreciate a $10 donation to our scholarship fund on their behalf.
Remember – if a friend enrolls and mentions your name as a referral, both of you get a $15 discount off your tuition for one semester. (The referred family must be a NEW enrollment, not a current or previously enrolled family.)
NEW – If you’re caring for a non-enrolled child, you’re welcome to bring them for up to two visits. If they will be visiting for more than two classes, we request a donation to the scholarship fund on their behalf. Alternatively, we might consider enrolling children who are frequent visitors.
Privacy
Heartland Music Together respects your privacy and will never share, sell, or rent your personal information with third parties for their promotional use. Your email and mailing address will be shared only with our licensor Music Together LLC for educational and quality assurance purposes.
Thank you!
Thank you for choosing Heartland Music Together as your child’s music program. We strive to create the best music program that we can, one which enriches the lives of children and adults. Your choice of Heartland Music Together makes this program possible.
It’s been a joy to teach all these years, and see our beautiful Music Together children grow up through the program. I’ve seen such joyous music making in class, and I hear such inspiring stories about music play at home. If you’re a new family, thank you for joining us. I’m looking forward to getting to know you. To our returning families, thanks for playing with us and sharing your beautiful children with us again!
Happy music-making!
